JOB SUMMARY
Direct and oversee in-plant printing operation that provides printing and distribution to all schools and departments, as well as external clients. Administrative Services includes the Records Management and Document Imaging Department, Printing Services, Graphics Department, and the District Post Office. Develop departmental goals, objectives, and strategic plans and administer operational procedures and departmental policies and standards for their accomplishment.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer the district’s in-plant printing operation to provide value-added products and services to schools and departments on a cost recovery basis.
Coordinate the Printing Services Departments insourcing initiative through the development of partnerships with other local governmental agencies via interlocal agreements to augment district services and to cultivate external revenue sources for the district.
Establish and adjust price schedules and user fees through the development of budgeted hourly rates and competitive cost benchmarking.
Administer the district’s records management program to ensure the preservation and retention of all vital and legacy records (both digital and analog) in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Oversee the development of the district’s record retention and destruction schedule and provide assistance, training, and education to site based managers to ensure district-wide compliance.
Oversee the operation of the district’s records warehouse and satellite storage facilities to ensure the integrity of district records and implement digital document conversion solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the district’s business operations.
Consult and advise clients on complex special projects and mobilize all human and fiscal resources necessary for their accomplishment.
Direct the customer education program and marketing strategy for the department to increase awareness of services provided and expand business opportunities with clients.
Analyze customer needs and market trends to develop customized business solutions to achieve the long-term objectives of the organization.
Direct and perform all complex fiscal, human resource, and administrative functions for the Administrative Services Department Research and implement new technologies, equipment, and business practices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of departmental performance.

Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
7+ years Management experience in a business environment preferred
