Schedule: Monday to Friday; First Shift 7 AM - 4 PM
Pay Rate: $73.35 to $92.00 per hour

The Philadelphia Design Center is at the forefront of designing and supporting a diverse range of products worldwide, including Vertical Lift Programs, Commercial Aircraft, Fixed Wing Fighters, Satellites, Space Launch Systems, and more. As a PDC Design Engineer, you will have the chance to influence the future of aviation, collaborating with various disciplines such as Structures Design, Stress Analysis, Mechanical Systems, Dynamic Components, and Electrical Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
Maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and other design methods to provide product definitions to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead performance, integration, and analysis of tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Manage supplier development, test, and production activities and coordinate with the supplier to optimize design and achieve program goals.
Assist with investigating emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Work under minimal direction.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in CAD
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Aerospace Design Experience
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Catia
Experience with NX
Aerospace Structures Design Experience
Mechanical Systems Design Experience
Composite Design Experience
Metallic Design Experience
Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience.
An equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD + 4 years' related work experience, Master + 7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
