Job Title: Product & Merchandising Specialist Reports to: Product Manager
This position is dedicated to a multitude of tasks & projects that support the Product Department. The overarching goal of this position is to build the Architessa brand, internally and externally, in whatever capacity is needed at any given time. The Product Merchandising Specialist will work with staff in the product, warehouse & sample departments on company initiatives. This position will ultimately perform work to help build a strong merchandising program with high standards & great attention to detail to ultimately increase sales through an excellent sample presentation.

Job Duties:
Inventory samples in all showrooms, create sample orders when needed and replenish stock to ensure products are available for customers in a timely manner. Including full size and cut size samples.
Establish a written schedule to ensure each showroom is visited in rotation and being maintained
Manage 4x4 display walls. Keep updated and organized.
Keep samples on showroom floor tidy, clean and discard broken/damaged product
Note any damage, quantity, or description differences with samples received vs. sample order same day they are received
Ensure showrooms are following the approved vendor list by removing samples.
Discard discontinued samples in both the showroom and sample room / area / bins
Delivers merchandising materials to each showroom and merchandises accordingly.
Support samples department team in production of grouted boards or other displays as needed. (construction of display, labeling, etc)
Alert showroom staff to the arrival of new samples/product to their showroom and the location of the new samples.
Special focus given to new stock materials –presentation of the new stock lines, (colors and sizes available) pricing
Making sure the sales team knows where all stock samples are located
Advise Product Manager of samples that aren’t moving, comments from sales team about additional sampling or merchandising needs not being met.
Provide sales analysis per showroom- quarterly
Identify stock products selling well and who is selling them
Identify items not moving – research with sales team the cause (pricing, low inventory, lack of samples, duplicate look)
Manage the inventory and storage of excess merchandise display and samples.
Use the inventory to maintain and refresh showrooms as needed.
Prep stored items for installation – cleaning, installing cleats, etc.
Commercial Division Support
Have a full understanding of what each commercial salesperson needs to launch new products & ensure they have the tools.
Make sure each person has a storage space & they are clean and organized.
Establish a travel schedule for going to each storage unit and meeting with salespeople to review how each unit should be set up & making sure they remain organized and clean.
Assist in additional duties as assigned.
Rockville Warehouse Support
On Mondays 6:30 am – 3 PM
Assist on the customer service counter of the warehouse
Receive material, check in and put in the correct place
Sell setting materials at the counter
Shipping/ Receiving as needed
Operating the UPS and other shipping systems
Receiving packages delivered via UPS, Fedex, etc.
Loading and unloading trucks, manually and with forklift
Provide quality customer service to customers – internal and external
Keep warehouse areas clean and safe
Operate forklift
EXPECTED NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK: 45
