Job Abstract

This position is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced global commercial team operating in a growing market. The candidate will be responsible for providing a first level support to our customers and our global sales team.

This includes: answering documents and data inquiries, following up and managing new leads for the business, answering to requests coming from our website, coordinating customer request related to quality, regulatory and sustainability documents while ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our customers.
As part of the IFF’s Pharma solutions team, this role will work with commercial, technical, quality, regulatory, sustainability, marketing, customer service and other functional teams to ensure that the information needed by our customers is provided in a timely manner.

The position is based out of our Wilmington office, but we will consider remote candidates. 

Travel will be occasional.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, assess, categorize, prioritize, process and respond to information requests from our customers, sales team and website.
• Store all product or company information and requests in an organized fashion to respond in a timely manner. 
• Update standard documentation and customer documentation in coordination with all company functions. 
• Support document automation by providing requirements and perform testing in various data platforms.
• Qualify all commercial leads and assign the right functional expert and sales person to each request. 
• Support our marketing team to manage and qualify leads from tradeshows, and webinars.
• Support our global commercial team with respect to sample requests, price related queries, audit requests, etc.
• Maintain service levels based on pre-established standards.
• Identify areas of improvement to continuously improve customer experience and satisfaction. 
• Other responsibilities may be added based on the candidate's skills and willingness to evolve in our organization.
   

Qualifications/Critical Competencies:

• Minimum of 3 years of inside sales, customer service, or similar experience required. 
• Hands-on mentality, service oriented.
• Good organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Prioritizing tasks, with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• Good verbal and written communication. 
• Good interpersonal skills to effectively work internally with various internal functions, regional teams and the global Food Ingredients team.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic global commercial environment.
• Work independently with minimal level of guidance and supervision.
• Self-driven and motivated.
• Demonstrated skills using IT platforms like CRM, SAP, Microsoft software, etc.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor of Science preferred. Chemistry, food science, nutrition, health, etc. 
• Fluency in one or more of these languages will be a plus: Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese.

IFF’s Pharma Solutions division is looking for a team member to help us be the premier partner to our customers, build our future and become one IFF. The Pharma Solutions business will be taking on its next chapter of growth as a trusted partner for the pharmaceutical industry with the announcement to sell Pharma Solutions to Roquette. This move will position Pharma Solutions to expand its industry leadership through continued investment in innovation to meet the evolving needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers and developers worldwide. The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2025, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Pharma Solutions business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to Roquette.
