Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Valuation Associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing independent valuations of business entities, intangible assets, and complex securities for financial reporting, tax compliance, management planning, and investment analysis. Additionally, the Valuation Associate will play a critical role in reviewing third-party appraisals for audit support. This position involves close collaboration with our accounting and auditing teams to ensure our clients receive the highest quality service.

Major Responsibilities & Duties:
Review third-party appraisals for audit support purposes.
Plan and oversee the execution of multiple, concurrent valuation engagements.
Ensure quality control and accuracy of client deliverables while managing engagement risk.
Articulate deal issues and document accounting issues clearly.
Build valuation models using income and market approaches in Excel.
Prepare, draft, and finalize clear and concise valuation reports.
Service clients from various industries, delivering valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax, and consulting purposes.
Conduct business and intangible asset valuations for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring, corporate services, and management planning.
Qualifications:
1 - 3+ years of experience in valuation.
Proficiency in business assessments and analyses.
Experience with contingent consideration (earn-outs), share-based award valuations (SARs, options), purchase price allocations, and valuation of intangible assets and liabilities.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and tax-related valuations.
Experience in financial reporting (intangibles).
Self-motivated with strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage client relationships and oversee multiple, concurrent valuation engagements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in analytical financial modeling and Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Education and Licenses:
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field required.
ASA, CFA, ABV, CPA certification preferred but not required.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred but not required.
