Key Accountabilities
/ What you will do:General Legal Support. Supports attorneys and other staff in the Office of General Counsel by gathering, organizing, and preparing various documents, files, and information. Assists attorneys, other legal professionals, or stakeholders by performing research, drafting legal correspondence, or engaging in evidence gathering processes in response to subpoenas and our legal or administrative actions. Provides assistance in preparing other legal documents such as agreements, scope of works, and licenses. Assists with case management, including data entry into OGC systems and departmental reporting. Engages in fundamental legal research using on-line resources; sherpardizes cases and provides cite checking support; and drafts memoranda for OGC internal use. Assists attorneys in preparation of presentation materials. Monitors IP portfolio activity and deadlines and assists with related filings and activities. Acts as or assists the Digital Millenium Copyright Act ("DMCA") agent for ANA, ANCC, and ANF. Assists with court and or administrative filings and registrations. Other work as assigned. Education:Associate's degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies or a bachelor's degree. Work Experience:Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a Paralegal.
