THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Host Person to greet guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner while ensuring his/her outlet is clean, organized, and properly stocked at all times. As a Host Person, you will collaborate closely with Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners to enhance guest interactions, ensure tables are set for incoming guests and provide accurate table information.
THE STARTING RATE:$13/hour + tips
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Welcome guests upon arrival with prompt greetings and assistance.
Manage incoming phone calls, maintain an accurate reservation count, and manage the reservation system effectively.
Ensure menus are up-to-date and in good condition, replacing worn-out menus as needed.
Assist with setting tables for incoming guests as needed.
Relay guest needs and feedback to the kitchen and management for efficient service and quality assurance.
Regularly check in with waiting guests, reassuring them of their status and preparation of their tables.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in assigned areas, including shutting down the podium and forwarding phones at the end of the shift.
Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Previous experience in a similar role within a fine dining establishment.
At least 6 months of hosting experience
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Experience working Open Table
Flexibility to work weekends between 3pm-10pm
