Job Title: Director Safety, Health and Environment

Join us at AstraZeneca as the lead for all matters related to safety, health, and environment (SHE) for our site. This position is accountable for leading, directing and developing programs/practices designed to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable state, federal and local SHE regulations as well as AstraZeneca corporate policies. Accountabilities:
As the Director of Safety, Health and Environment, you will oversee SHE compliance programs, monitor emerging SHE issues, supervise staff, lead risk management activities, develop strategies for sustainable business processes, and maintain strong credibility with regulatory agencies, customers, trade groups and common stakeholders. You will also be responsible for campus wide integration of the SHE programs and represent the site’s interest and promote the company’s positions on environmental, health and safety matters.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors: Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Engineering
- Technical Expertise: CSP, CIH, CHMM, or PE
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Typical Experience: 15-20+ years experience
- Large capital projects
- Advanced Legislative / Regulatory Knowledge
- Advanced Production Processes and Equipment
