Management Analyst - Real Estate Transaction
Join our Real Estate and Transit-Oriented Development team as a Management Analyst for Real Estate Transactions and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and successful completion of property transactions. In consultation with the Department Managers, you will coordinate closings by working closely with VTA staff and attorneys, developers, lenders, other agencies, and external stakeholders to lead and manage all aspects of the closing process. As a key player in our team, you will lead real estate closing procedures and improve processes, enhance organization and closing data storage, and lead document control. Your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail will be paramount as you oversee timelines, prepare, draft, and edit documentation, and facilitate communication between all parties involved. You will collaborate closely with real estate and legal professionals to ensure our real estate closing operations run smoothly and effectively.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would have paralegal, documentation drafting and editing, real estate transaction, and escrow closing experience.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in navigating the intricacies of real estate transactions, including drafting and editing documents, exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a keen understanding of the real estate closing process including a track record of excellence in legal transactional coordination.

Definition
Under general supervision, a Management Analyst performs a variety of professional level analytical staff studies and/or projects concerned with the improvement of management functions, practices, and services or the implementation of program objectives.
Distinguishing Characteristics
This is the journey level within the Management Analyst series. Positions in this class perform a wide variety of management analysis activities. Assignments at this level require the use of considerable discretion, judgment, and interpersonal skill. Recommendations and commitments have considerable weight; personal contacts involve negotiating, advising, and gaining acceptance of one's ideas by others. Positions at this level may provide training and lead direction over other Analysts, Aides, and clerical support staff.This class is distinguished from the lower level of Associate Management Analyst in that incumbents of the Management Analyst class receive less supervision and are expected to perform more responsible assignments with a great deal of independence; and from the higher level of Senior Management Analyst in that the latter is responsible for supervising the work of professional analytical staff and performing the most complex professional level analytical staff studies and projects.

Development of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is typically obtained through a combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a four-year degree in public or business administration, or a related field, and two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience performing management analysis for a public or private sector organization.

Work/Life Balance: 40-hour work weeks, and a option of a flexible/hybrid remote schedule.
Health: VTA participates in a CalPERS-sponsored medical plan with VTA contribution to employee and dependent premium health insurance premiums. Employees pay a monthly contribution of any amount in excess of the Kaiser Bay Area Family rate.
