SUMMARY
Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers and workers engaged in packaging drug product and materials for storage or shipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, additional duties may be assigned:
Studies production orders to ascertain type and quantity of product and other packaging requirements.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Observes packaging operations.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 20 to 60 employees in the Production Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, experience with ERP systems, and Time and Attendance software.
