ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN LEVEL II RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet with the production supervisors to see what needs to be accomplished at the start of each day.
Helps to coordinate daily tasks to the ETs on your shift.
Mentor the other ETs by motivating and providing technical guidance to guarantee an optimal functioning of Packaging Equipment and Support.
At the end of each day, communicate any ongoing breakdowns or setups to the shift replacing you.
Efficiently dispatch ETs to line calls based on priority of lines and current situations.
Works closely with production supervisors to determine the priority of line setups.
Evaluates equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime and directing the problem to appropriate personnel.
Install and assist in the installation and learning of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment of machines and lines to effectively coordinate setups.
Ability to provid a higher level of support for advanced troubleshooting issues.
Must excel in troubleshooting all equipment on site with the use of electrical schematics, blueprints, and PLC knowledge.
Must be competent in the use of all plant electrical test equipment.
Able to use and understand complex Cognex Vision Systems techniques.
Thorough understanding of Systech Serialization Systems to consult when advanced problems arise.
Work with the Engineering group to help upgrade existing equipment with new controls and features.
Must be able to maintain a log/work sheet of equipment repairs and problems.
Must assist all other maintenance personnel in the event of a major plant breakdown.
Ensuring order and tidiness within the workshop, machines and other workplaces.
Help design, develop, test, manufacture, install, and repair electronic equipment.
Be able to work without supervision to develop and setup lines required for engineering studies and IOQ with minimum existing resources.
Must be able to set up line equipment and vision systems in accordance with a Master Production Record.
Able to follow and understand production procedures, Good documentation practices, and Work instructions.
Must be able to work overtime on weekends.
Always maintains safe work practices.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
An Associate’s Degree in Electronics with minimum 5 years of work experience or higher equivalent Degree
Experience with PLC programs.
Experience with Vision inspection systems and control circuits.
Experience with Systech Serialization Systems a plus.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Robotics and programming is a plus.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
Experience adhering to CGMP regulations.
Have good communication skills oral and written.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in non-standardized situations.
