Main Responsibilities

Assessing output samples using industry-appropriate methods. This involves comparing the samples to established standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality.
Oversee the quality control process during production and verify that production adheres to standards and procedures.
Weigh, inspect, and issue all raw materials and packaging needed in production.
Review specifications to compare them with the produced goods.
Maintain detailed records of production processes, including batch numbers, ingredients, and quality checks.
Record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing reworks, and inputting data into quality databases.
Ensure measurement equipment operates accurately by following calibration requirements and promptly requesting repairs.
Collecting and compiling statistical quality data.
Investigate and determine the causes of product defects and reworks.
Verifying that all equipment is correctly calibrated.

Requirements
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Wear specified personal protective equipment, including steel/composite toe work boots, safety glasses, aprons, protective gloves or respirators, hoods, masks, face shields, etc., as required.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Ability to calculate volume and proportion and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and rations to formulas and batches
At least three years of related work experience
Excellent mathematical skills
Thorough understanding of chemical tests and processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of standing while working in the lab
Lift or carry up to 15 pounds at times
Exposure to various chemicals and compounds
Working environment
Chemistry laboratory and general office environment
Occasional presence on the manufacturing floor
Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
May handle containers of caustic or acidic chemicals after appropriate training and with appropriate PPE
Moderate noise level from forklifts and other equipment
