The goal of our employees is to create an extraordinary experience for all our guests, and our Pizza Cooks are at the heart of our restaurant. When guests want pizza, they choose Grimaldi’s for its high quality, signature flavor, and traditional pizza appeal. You are responsible for preparing and delivering that promise to each of our guests, exceeding their expectations. Our Pizza Cooks directly support our mission to run the best pizzeria in the world where family and friends gather for great food and good times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas, calzones, and other items according to Grimaldi's Standards.
- Monitor the coal in our ovens to ensure the temperature and cooking times to ensure pizzas are cooked correctly.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Restock pizza ingredients as needed and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of pizza preparation cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Experience in a pizza kitchen is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to details
- A valid food handlers card.
