DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Fresh Grocery team is looking for a Senior Category Manager to lead multiple facets of an omni-channel retail business (e.g., buying, assortment planning, product management, operations, marketing/merchandising) and identify growth opportunities within our Perishables space. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business.
You will manage the P&L and have accountability for business results of your pwned product categories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including expanding product selection and vendor base, setting strategic direction and goals for negotiations, setting category sourcing strategy, developing marketing and promotions programs, problem solving to drive sales and margin improvements, and creating best-in-class customer experiences.
The ideal candidate will have customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and cross-functional leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of with Excel experience - Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience - Experience with business analysis and P&L management

- Experience using data to influence business decisions - Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
