This client-focused position is responsible for supervising the employee benefits service team, while also retaining, growing, and servicing the book of business. They will have advanced knowledge of fully insured, level funded, and self-funded group insurance products, the various financial and insurance arrangements available for these coverages, the various types of third-party administration services available, and the behind-the-scenes work that those plans require from a compliance, renewal, and member experience perspective. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage assigned book of business by meeting retention goals, while also identifying and pursuing cross-sell opportunities Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with clients; cultivate strong relationships with decision maker(s) in each client organization as well as with day-to-day client contacts Responsible for overall client strategy; identify, develop and recommend strategic solutions based on client’s needs and applicable regulations Ensure high level of client satisfaction and exceptional service delivery through education on products, processes, and services and communication around due dates, timelines, and actions needed Present at client pre-renewal meetings, renewal presentations, open enrollment meetings, and other virtual or face to face meetings in a clear and concise manner; always with enthusiasm and professionalism Work closely with service team to ensure client’s service and support needs are met throughout the benefits lifecycle Maintain a high level of credibility and working relationship with insurance carriers, internal partners, vendors and TPA’s Maintain and continually develop knowledge of products, technology, and regulatory issues that impact clients.
