Legal Support Assistant II
Interviews will take place July 25 through August 9, 2024. Job offers for selected candidates will be made the week of August 12, 2024.
As a Legal Support Assistant II, you will perform the more responsible and difficult preparation, review, and processing of legal documents, records, and reports. Incumbents are expected to work independently and require only routine review of work products. Incumbents are also expected to meet all routine office and court deadlines.
The current vacancies are in the Health and Human Services Agency; however, the list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies in other departments.

The ideal candidate will work independently and work well as part of a team. The ability to work with a variety of individuals representing diverse backgrounds is important in this position.

The timeline for this recruitment is outlined below.
- Job Offer and Background Process begins the week of August 12, 2024. Note: Current County employees may be excluded from additional background screening.
- Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results.
- Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date.

Education and Experience
- One (1) year of experience as a Legal Support Assistant I in the County of San Diego, OR,
- Two (2) years of legal clerical or secretarial experience equivalent to Legal Support Assistant I in an outside agency, processing legal documents and records related to civil or criminal matters to include reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness and conformance with prescribed legal requirements.
