We are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer / Analyst to work in a hybrid position based out of Fulton, MD. In this position, you will serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert on challenging software development projects. You will be engaged with exciting and innovative advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies. This position resides in Fulton, MD, offering a flexible, hybrid role with some time required on-site in Fulton each month and the opportunity to work from home on other days.
Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as corporate lead in the research and design of new concepts in areas such as the tracking and data fusion domain
Perform system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design and trade studies.
Serve as Technical Leader of engineering development teams.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Previous experience utilizing Kalman track filtering, data fusion and track management techniques and algorithms and experience developing models of these techniques for detailed behavioral and performance analysis for Radar, Weapons, Missile or Command and Control programs.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or other Engineering related discipline.
Prior experience as a lead analyst/system engineer, developing the system models and simulations, developing complex algorithmic solutions, in a tool such as Matlab, to be implemented in the software product.
Experience with any of these systems: Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control systems.
Adept at communicating (verbal and written) with all levels within and outside the company, ability to prepare and deliver presentations/summaries which appropriately address the intended audience.
Active security clearance is preferred.
Willingness for occasional domestic and international travel.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
