Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Test Engineer with a Software Engineering background to join our team at the Cheshire, CT facility. As a key player in our high precision inertial measurement sensor and system manufacturing, you will be instrumental in supporting the engineering test equipment, troubleshooting processes, and driving manufacturing efficiency. Your role will encompass designing and developing manufacturing processes for products in full-rate production and transitioning new products from design and development to full-rate production.

What YOU Will Do:
- Develop and maintain SQL Server Databases for production lines.
- Program in C#, C, or C++ to automate and enhance manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain VBA Macros for daily engineering use.
- Update server applications used across the production floor.
- Optimize production process instructions for quality and efficiency.
- Develop in-process test and measurement systems for assembly stages.
- Troubleshoot production process issues and recommend new equipment and materials.
- Manage SAP Work Orders, Routing, and BOM, including nonconforming material and data reporting.
- Conduct root cause investigations and develop failure analysis reports (Six Sigma, ACE/CORE).
- Support TPM processes and optimize manufacturing processes on the production floor.
- Drive improvements in yield, quality, cost, schedule, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with EH&S standards.
- Design and support tooling for new and existing products.
- Assist with capital equipment research and justification.
- Participate in designing and arranging assembly areas and machine sequences for efficient production layouts.

Qualification You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, SQL, and HTML/CSS, with experience in Visual Studio IDE.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP Networking and Agile software development.
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and multi-threaded programming.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems, including CRUD applications and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, VBA, Access) and ERP systems (SAP/ORACLE).
- Experience in software systems integration, validation, and automated build tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Familiarity with RCCA tools such as Six Sigma and ACE.
- Experience in small electromechanical or gyroscope assembly products.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
