Job Abstract

Sign-on Bonus: $3,000!!! Additional Regular Compensation based out of CMC Location

Assists staff pharmacist in filling prescription orders, preparing I.V. dosage forms, and delivering patients medications and floor stock to patient care areas, along with returning new medication orders to the pharmacy.

• Maintains departmental stock levels, verifies, records and stores incoming items.
• Assists the pharmacist and director inventory control. Insures all patient care areas are appropriately stocked with properly dated medications.
• Performs a wide variety of technical and utility duties.
• Performs clerical duties, including data entry into the hospital billing system.

Position Requirements:

• Experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or related job (i.e. Retail pharmacy)
• Knowledge of the metric system are highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma
• License Requirements:
• CPHT certification is required
• State of Ohio Pharmacy Tech License required
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospital experience preferred.
