Call rotations onsite. Major Responsibilities. Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems. Strong foundation in Windows servers, windows services (including Print, GPO, AD Sites and Services, DHCP, DNS, IIS, and others), and Windows maintenance and monitoring. Build and maintain Windows and Linux server OS's and templates for both production and non-production as well follow established documentation for the build process. Application support for servers. Thorough understanding of the core applications of Microsoft of Exchange, Domain Controllers, SharePoint, SCCM, Certificate Services (and certificate rotation), Federated services and understanding of how DNS and DHCP works on any OS. Application support for On. Prem Exchange admin functions (connectors, relays, policies, Edge/ HUB roles). Application support for SharePoint (Site creation, SharePoint specific patches and indexing, Site migrations). Application support of Certificate Services (ADCS) including certificate structure, hierarchy, certificate life. Strong knowledge in Microsoft Server IIS and Microsoft/ Linux Apache, basic configuration of App Pools, sites, HSTS, and HTTPS. SCCM/ MECM system configuration, reporting, and migrations of servers. Also includes AV, policy pushes, asset inventory, site configurations, and many more Administration tasks. DNS & DHCP configuration and understanding record types and options & scope types. DNS examples include, but not limited to, are A, PTR, SRV, CNAME, TXT, LDAP, and NS. DHCP examples include, but not limited to, are 003, 006, 015, 066, 150 Vulnerability remediation and reporting on Windows and Linux servers including knowing CVE number representation, finding solutions, and implementing solutions required. PowerShell and bash scripting updates, PowerShell and bas shell script creation, and PowerShell and bash shell log file scripts maintenance including task Scheduler or Cron jobs. Implementation and enforcing standards throughout OS and documentation. Review and maintenance of daily jobs including the scheduled tasks. Security and hardening of Windows and Linux of operating system. Proactively provide management recommendations for budgeting and business plans Problem resolution: Troubleshoot and diagnose problem relating to TCP/ IP, certificates, SNMP, AD Joins, while documenting root cause and performing corrective action. Document and diagram in Visio current and future expansion of systems and network through thoughtful analysis and review. Analyze compute, storage, and other hardware servers for possible issues. Provide any required support on various hardware as needed in conjunction with various groups. When appropriate engaging outside contractors with proper technical expertise. Ensuring timely completion of projects and deployments in conjunction with the Business Plan. Other duties as assigned by the Servers & Systems Manager and Senior IS Management. Additional Responsibilities. ADFS services for configuration, migration, and farm management. Work in conjunction with third party vendors to expedite resolution. Develop a working knowledge of the business side of PFFCU and be able to interface effectively with all user areas. Ability to work with tape libraries and provide system maintenance. Perform systems analysis of all software\hardware modification including vendor software releases\patches and user requests for change in a timely and proactive manner Demonstrate an understanding of the business impact of these changes and be able to coherently explain and relate their impact to the affected user community. Researching, planning, designing, and implementing compute & storage solutions. Revising and updating IT departmental procedures as it applies to telecom systems scheduling, tuning and maintenance. Documenting internal support processes and procedures and building runbooks. Designing and implementing processes to ensure high availability of all systems and take immediate control of production problems and drive them to resolution. Working closely with all teams in technology on projects of all scopes, including complex and cross-functional efforts. Qualifications
5 years hands on Microsoft and/or Linux experience (design and implementation).5 years Windows OS as it relates to servers. Bachelor's degree in technical field; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required A solid understanding of Windows Servers and their roles and features. Project management skills a must. Ability to collaborate with other departments and various levels of management in a constructive manner that supports PFFCU's values of member service, teamwork, commitment, and performance. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work an On. Call rotation and assist after hours as needed. Ability to work varying hours, sometimes includes evening and weekend work. Ability to work well independently and in a team setting. Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
