SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS License Requirements: Documentation of certification from an accredited medical assistant training program is preferred. Certification Requirements: CPR certification is preferred. Must be able to perform, teach and supervise correct techniques for performing venipuncture, holter monitor application and EKG, bone densitometry, Bio Z, spirometry, therapeutic phlebotomy, CPR, administration of injectibles, finger stick glucometry, self-injection technique, ear canal irrigation, IV’s, basic diabetic education, breast self-exam, pulse oximetry, oxygen administration, and assisting physicians in emergency situations including cardiac arrest. Uses time efficiently. Maintains awareness of budgetary issues and actively participates in efforts to control expenses. Works effectively with available resources to meet deadlines and enhance performance. Monitors supply stocks, maintains exam room equipment and lab equipment, stocks daily and orders supplies from designated vendor weekly. Demonstrates knowledge of the practice operations and related policies.
