The Manufacturing Services Project Manager reports to the Brecksville, OH Integrated Site Director. Manufacturing Services Project Manager will be responsible to meet the needs of the business, including management of capital and expense projects throughout all phases of design, budget, construction, implementation, and completion. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing the capital plan for the Brecksville, OH site.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit requests for capital including detailed scopes, cost estimates and all other required documents and provide status updates on a regular basis to site leadership.
- Project management work includes preparation of schedules, setting up projects in SAP, preparing purchase requisitions, and periodic reports.
- Identify areas of improvement in project management, contract management, etc.
- Develop recommendations for improvement for site infrastructure and equipment.
- Coordinates installation with maintenance resources and supervises contractors to install process equipment and systems.
- Work with vendors for solutions when field issues are identified.
- Work directly with engineering and construction teams, attend engineering and construction reviews, support bid reviews by procurement teams for material and sub-contracted services.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the codes and standards that apply to engineering discipline, including the National Electric Code, OSHA standards, NFPA Codes, and Ohio Building and Mechanical Code.
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management; or equivalent experience of project management /construction experience including familiarity with a variety of building projects.
- 10+ years project management experience, with an established track record of successful projects. Project management experience must be in engineering or construction.
- Project Management certification (PMP) is required for this role.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical processes; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- General knowledge of construction practices, buildings, building systems and utilities
- Familiarity with architectural, electrical, mechanical drawings
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with internal team and client.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with the ability work independently and in in a team environment.
Considered a Plus
- Two to five (2-5) years’ experience in a chemical research and development site, or related industry.
- SAP experience.
- Building automation systems (BAS) integration
- Distributed Control Systems (DCS) experience
Working Conditions
- Lifting to head up to 10 pounds; lifting to waist up to 25 pounds.
- Requires close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception.
- May require to ascend/descend ladders to gain access areas of the site.
