About Pittsburg Power Company - Island Energy
Pittsburg Power Company ("PPC") conducts business in the City of Pittsburg and on Mare Island, under the name "Island Energy". PPC is a publicly owned municipal utility company that provides electricity and natural gas services at Mare Island. Though the utility is small compared to investor-owned utilities, staff is available to work at a personal level to meet the needs of customers who range from residential to large commercial companies and entrepreneurs.

The City of Pittsburg is a full-service city following the council-manager form of government. We have about 300 full time employees and about 350 employees total (depending on the season).
