Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for Structural Analysis Engineers to join our Structures team within our Customer Support Operations Center team in Seal Beach, CA.This position requires flexible work hours, following a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off.
We support all in-service Boeing Commercial Airplane models, including the MD-10, MD-11, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787. You will work on a variety of challenges across different models and sections of the airplane.
We are seeking talented and detail-oriented Structural Analysis Engineers excited to work with diverse airplane models. In this role, you will collaborate with other structures teams and solve challenges, while quickly addressing and developing in-service repairs. You will excel in communicating across teams within and outside of Boeing, mentoring engineers, and driving process improvements to provide exceptional customer support.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including, Experienced (Level 3) and Senior (Level 4 and Level 5) Structural Analysis Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop structural repairs on all Boeing and MD series models
Conduct static and fatigue analyses for primary and secondary structures
Collaborate and communicate with customers and executive leadership
Perform review of customer requests and determine the best avenue for resolution
Provide repair solutions and approval forms to customers
Collaborate with multiple Boeing teams to develop repair solutions
Review outgoing customer messages to ensure content and quality
Initiate proactive repair solutions across the Boeing fleet
Analyze and develop substantiation packages for repairs and/or fly-on limits
Conduct research of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer
Assess incoming customer communications to resolve potential fleet safety issues
Identify the need for technical training
Help customers keep their aircraft flying safely by addressing urgent “Aircraft on Ground” (AOG) issues
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience working with structural analysis of composite and metal structures
3+ years of experience with structural analysis methods and repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques, damage tolerance methods used in maintenance programs)
3+ years of experience with aircraft structural design
3+ years of experience with structural repair
This position requires 24/7-day operation support. The selected candidate must be able to work any hours as needed based on mission requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Boeing aircraft data and documents
Experience with CSW, IAS, and other BCA tools
Experience working with and supporting customers (e.g. Airlines, Operators, Lessors)
Prior experience with AOG resolution
Working on structural analysis teams

Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $96,000 - $141,000
Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $124,100 - $167,900
Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 5): $146,200 - $197,800
