Possess and apply expertise across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and lead major assignments. Evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Function as an expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise, mentor or task lead others.
Ensure the highest level of CyberSecurity while balancing user needs. Initiate (does not wait for others) to identify key areas of improvement relating to anything Systems related.
Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data and security integrity.

More About the Role:
- Work location is in the Chantilly/Dulles, Virginia area (west of DC). Some work from home is possible after an initial “getting acquainted” period and as work needs dictate.
- Lots of hands-on with BOTH Hardware (i.e. Dell Servers) and Virtual (i.e., VMWare) environments.
- Lots of hands-on experience with Updating, Patching, and investigation issues related to Windows OS and Windows Server environments.
- Lots of hands-on experience with Intune and Microsoft: MECM or SCCM or MECP or MEMCM or ConfigMgr.
- Lots of understanding of the different types of Encryption needed in a secure environment.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- US Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain secret level clearance.
- University Degree (BS), or equivalent years of related experience, and additionally 7+ years of related IT engineering experience required.
Senior level experience with the following:
- Experience with Systems Administration in Windows Server environments (MS Security Engineer/Solution Architect equivalence).
- Experience with customer interactions, including presenting, answering questions, proactively resolving issues.
Mid-level experience with the following:
- Experience with enterprise or large-scale automated updating/patching – including experience installing, securing, configuring Intune and Microsoft: MECM or SCCM or MECP or MEMCM or ConfigMgr.
- Experience with understanding IT Security concepts and implementations. Grasping the wide-definition of CyberSecurity.
- Experience with enhance data protection and compliance (such as OpenSSL, Keystores, Key Vaults, Cyphers).
- Experience with VMWare Enterprise environments (implementing, managing, configuring).
- Experience with securing systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-27, NIST 800-137, FISMA, FEDRAMP, CUI), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective secure solutions.
- Experience with leading team efforts. Understanding needs of individuals not just tasks.
At least 2 years of experience with the following:
- Experience with log management, network firewalls, and testing. (Being able to track down the root cause of a service/application failure through the use of logs and CLI-based tools (Log-based Analysis, not just guessing)).
- Experience with STIG hardening and participating in audit reviews relating to it.
- Experience creating and analyzing PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, JAVA based, YAML and/or Python scripts – basically you need to know how to connect things for automation needs.
- Experience integrating, securing, and understanding the following Microsoft platform services: Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Windows AD-integrated PKI, Single Sign On (SSO), Smartcard implementation.
Required Certification:
- Security+ CE Certification (or other IAT Level II or III Certification) – active at start or obtain within 30 days of hire. Within normal CACI policies, CACI will provide access to most of the CBTs needed as well as reimburse for exams fees. (We can discuss how you get this more in detail when you interview or start).
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of data/server security needs within SCIF.
- Some experience with Agile/Kanban, Git/GitHub.
- Some experience with researching, analyzing, documenting and presenting Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) for key product solutions.
- Some experience with network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) by large commercial vendors (such as: Dell, Cisco, PaloAlto).
- Some experience with MECM/SCCM/ConfigMgr, Intune, etc.
- Some experience with ServiceNow, DevOps, etc.
- Some experience with any or all of these products or technologies: MS SQL, Red Hat Satellite, Tanium, IPSEC, etc.
- Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related subject area (or actively obtaining, within 1 year of graduation)
