As we continue to expand our global operations, we are seeking a Global Business Services, Senior Director to lead the Stand-Up activities of Altera. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the standup roadmap, ensuring program alignment, and coordinating cross-functional teams to execute projects as well as ensuring that the Future State systems and processes align with our corporate objectives and culture. Post stand-up activities, the candidate will transition to role of Global Business Services (GBS) Leader. GBS Leader responsibilities will include leading and managing the GBS organization, which will provide contracting, vendor management, accounting and program management services for Altera's global operations. In the GBS role, the candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient and cost-effective services, while driving continuous improvement and innovation across the GBS functions. Additional responsibilities may include managing a portfolio of projects, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead a team of service managers, analysts, and specialists, providing them with guidance, coaching, and feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with CEO and CEO Staff to define and drive the Stand-Up roadmap and program, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
Develop and execute detailed Stand-Up plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and value creation.
Lead cross-functional teams to operationalize the desired processes, systems, and cultures. Coordinate teams across the organization to drive execution, resolve issues, and facilitate decisions, maintaining project momentum.
Provide accountability on milestone planning and tracking, reporting progress to stakeholders and implementing adjustments as necessary.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the Stand-Up process, including operational, financial, and cultural risks.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
Work closely with the Intel Corporate Development team to understand the separation dependencies and timelines and the impact on Stand-Up activities.
Manage the Stand-Up budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations throughout the Stand-Up process.
Provide strategic direction and oversight for the GBS organization, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, mission and values.
Manage the delivery of global business services, including finance, accounting, human resources, procurement, and IT.
Lead and develop a diverse and talented team of GBS professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and excellence.
Manage across and integrate a multi-disciplinary environment, leveraging best practices and innovative technologies to optimize the GBS processes and systems.
Implement and maintain a leading practice service management framework and techniques, ensuring the effective governance, risk management and compliance of the GBS services.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of service delivery processes, systems, and teams, using key performance indicators, metrics, and feedback mechanisms.
Plan and execute the service transition and cut-over for new or changing services, ensuring the smooth integration and minimal disruption to the business operations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key international stakeholders, including senior management, business units, customers, suppliers and regulators.
Apply advanced international stakeholder management strategies, such as communication, negotiation, influence and conflict resolution, to address complex and sensitive issues and achieve win-win outcomes.
Act as an ambassador and advocate for the GBS organization, promoting its value proposition and capabilities to the business and external parties.
Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement and growth of the GBS services, ensuring alignment with the business needs and market trends.
Manage the GBS budget and resources, ensuring the optimal allocation and utilization of the GBS assets and capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in corporate transformations, M&A integration, corporate development, or a related field.
Proven track record of successful Stand-Up/Carve Out/Separation activities in a leadership role.
Excellent program management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing diverse and remote teams.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
