Job Abstract

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of patient medical records in accordance with departmental standards and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and secure patient medical records cabinets, facilitating record retrieval when necessary
• Maintain accurate and secure patient medical records, ensuring completeness and adherence to departmental standards
• Review records before appointments, prepare paper progress notes during system downtime, and assist during EHR outages
• Coordinate internal and external medical record requests and facilitate patient record releases
• Utilize electronic systems for tracking and updating patient information and requests
• Prepare records for archiving as needed
• Maintain open communication with clinic staff and uphold HIPAA compliance

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in a Medical office setting
• High school diploma
