Position Summary:
The Director of Financial Reporting Systems will be responsible for managing a team of professionals dedicated to building, maintaining, and administering the financial reporting systems of the company. This individual will oversee all aspects of financial reporting systems, including cube modeling, supporting close and planning cycles, and administration of financial planning and reporting systems. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for managing the reporting structure and ensuring that financial reporting systems remain in SOX scope. This role is crucial for ensuring that an organization's financial reporting is accurate, timely, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Ensure systems are optimized for efficiency and accuracy in financial data processing.
Manage the preparation and distribution of accurate financial reports.
Ensure the integrity and reliability of financial data.
Stay updated on best practices and technological advancements in financial systems.
Work closely with other departments, such as IT, finance, and operations, to ensure integrated and cohesive financial systems.
Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for building financial reports, cube modeling, and administering financial planning and reporting systems.
Oversee the development and maintenance of financial reports, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage key reports, including baselining reports, and ensure timely and accurate delivery to stakeholders.
Define and maintain the reporting structure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Ensure that financial reporting systems remain in SOX scope and compliant with relevant regulations.
Create a center of excellence for all financial reporting, steering specific stakeholder requirements to the ideal tool or application for their reporting needs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs.
Establish and maintain a catalogue of Financial Reports across multiple applications, including ERP Tool, Planning Tool, and BI/Analytics Tool.
Review and prioritize all Financial Reporting requirements, provide timelines for expansion of tool usage and capabilities, and drive appropriate build and testing activities to ensure compliant reporting.
Collaborate with internal resources and cross-functional team members, including application owners, business users, and solution architects to deliver high quality products within the reporting application stack.
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in financial reporting and business intelligence.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and external partners to leverage their expertise and resources.
Act as a subject matter expert on financial planning and budgeting tools, such as Oracle EPM, and Cloud-based reporting or BI Tools, such as Fusion Analytics Warehouse or Oracle Analytics Cloud.
Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
Maintains compliant with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program and applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
Perform other related duties as assigned and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position.

Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing comprehensive training and regular feedback

Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications like CPA or CFA are often preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work environment will be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.
Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
