Under the direction of the CAO, this position will provide professional support to the physician practice functions. The position requires independent thinking; a desire to work in collaboration with a high functioning team, strict confidence in dealing with physician compensation, benefit packages and other governance issues. Coordinates physician on-boarding process throughout the state, prepares new hire employment contacts/legal documents, and coordinates all aspects of on-boarding processes. Additionally, this position is responsible for coordination of Risk Management Administration and will assist the CAO with Physician Benefit Plan and Compensation Analysis and communication. Responsible for interacting and working with community physicians, medical groups, and their office personnel to promote, maintain and build positive relationships.

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field. Or A high school diploma/GED with equivalent and relevant work experience.
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
- 5 years Progressive healthcare environment required, which must include previous Risk Management, Physician Credentialing and Benefit Plan Design experience.
- Medical Group Practice experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
- Experience in on-boarding physician into a Medical Group setting highly desirable.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in physician performance/behavioral deficiencies as requested0
- Assists in formal Peer Review activities.
- Prepares physician employment agreements for physicians joining Northern California Regional Medical Groups.
- Assists with the administration of physician service, recruitment, and contract preparation.
- Conducts Risk Assessment and implements Risk Management Programs.
- Develops educational in-services regarding risk management.
- Implements and monitors systems to identify potential losses, protect records and evidence, monitor claims, manage the acceptance of legal service and to process legal documents.
- Manages day-to-day Risk Management activities.
- Assists in the on-going physician benefit plan design changes and coordinate annual Professional Liability Renewal process.
- Communicates the risk events as appropriate to the CAO.
- Coordinates the annual Professional Liability Renewal process.
- Coordinates the day-to-day Risk Management activities.
- Facilities immediate process improvements to avoid repeat events in response to significant risk incidents.
- Assists in the facilitation of root cause analysis in response to sentinel events.
- Maintains all legal files and interacts regularly with Professional Liability attorneys.
- Maintains all malpractice records and acts as liaison with carriers for the medical group.
- Takes the initiative to resolve issues before escalating to the CAO relative to Risk Management, Physician Compensation Administration and benefit plan design.
- Effective interaction and excellent communication with a variety of individuals on several different levels including, but not limited to Senior Executives, Physicians, and Attorneys.
- Develop and maintain strong service relationships with primary care and specialty physicians through scheduled site visits; obtains emergent and elective referrals for Health System and clinics.
- Effectively obtains, interprets, and analysis physician information and utilization data.
- Communicate regularly with referring physician regarding service; including follow-up.
