With this in mind, we are hiring a Marketing Manager for Terracon’s offices in our Eastern Midwest region (OH, KY, IN, MI, WV). This position can be based out of Terracon's Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Niles, Louisville, Lexington, or Charleston offices.
Working in partnership with our divisional and office leadership, client development (sales) team, and marketing team you will bring marketing planning and execution to help drive business growth. You will also have the responsibility to inspire and lead the division marketing team to position and win business using a variety of marketing channels. You will be part of, mentor, and lead the marketing team within the division.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience with developing marketing plans and communicating marketing vision and progress to leadership. Additionally, this role requires strong leadership, organization, and strategic marketing skills. You should have marketing experience in the engineering, architecture, or construction fields, and experience responding to proposal requests and SOQs. Experience leading a team or having director reports is strongly desired. In addition, you will develop and support the division’s marketing strategies through market research, digital marketing, thought leadership, marketing planning, and more. Candidates must also be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and have strong writing skills.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:

Leads a team that produces and coordinates Go/No-Go meetings, proposal, and presentation preparation, conducts reviews, and works with technical champions to ensure quality proposal (SOQ) material is delivered on schedule.
Works with other marketing professionals to share company-wide best practices and inter-divisional information sharing and collaborates with our corporate marketing and communications team.
Supports the division with business planning through market research, prioritizes marketing efforts to drive division growth, champions change initiatives, and effectively communicates progress with leadership.
Ensures that marketing material produced (branding, key messages, qualifications, etc.) aligns with our branding and is accurate, timely, and well-written.
Takes ownership of CRM updates, training, and reporting at a division-wide level.
Works with the Client Development professionals, Regional Managers, and pursuit teams to develop strategy and Project/Client Capture Plans.
Event planning and industry outreach, including leading strategy for tradeshow participation, thought leadership opportunities, and targeted digital marketing communications.
Mentors marketers and builds an effective marketing program in the division.
Follows safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 12+ years’ marketing and communications experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, 16 years of related experience.
Prior experience with private and public agency proposal submittals/SOQs within the A/E/C industry.
Preferred:
Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) Certification
