Responsibilities: | The College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School is seeking a highly motivated Student Assistant to join the Mannes Prep administrative team. Mannes Prep is a K-12 Saturday music school housed within the College of Performing Arts. We are currently seeking two Student Assistants to join the Mannes Prep team. The Mannes Prep Student Assistants will work approximately four to five hours per week. The work occurs at Arnhold Hall in direct support of Mannes Prep programs, students, and families.
Mannes Prep Student Assistants will report to the Director of Mannes Prep. This position is open to students with and without a Federal Work Study award.

Responsibilities: - Hosting Mannes Prep student recitals
- Providing front-of-house assistance to Mannes Prep students and families
- Assisting full-time Mannes Prep staff with the varied Saturday operations of Mannes Prep
- Serving as ushers for Mannes Prep recitals and events
- Assisting ensemble directors with rehearsal setup, breakdown, and attendance
- Creating and keeping track of ensemble parts, and working with Ensemble Directors for any new part needs
- Additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications - Strong background in the performing arts
- Experience with instrumental music programs
- Experience working in a customer service oriented environment
- Comfortable working with K-12 students and their families
- Demonstrated commitment to Equity, Inclusion, Social Justice, and the transformative power of the arts and education
