The Associate Director is part of the Technical Operations team, managing and leading a team that is responsible for delivering training and onboarding of new staff as well as maintaining qualified status. The Training Manager will collaborate closely with the manufacturing department to ensure that training initiatives align with organizational goals and contribute to enhanced productivity, quality, and safety standards.
What you will do:
Management and leadership of the Training team including:
Manage, lead the Training team to support direct and indirect manufacturing staff in providing training program.
Performance management, talent management of direct reports
Organize and facilitate process-related training sessions
Create, own and maintain onboarding program for all new staff.
Super user and subject matter expert for learning management system (Cornerstone)
Lead the development of training materials, modules, and resources tailored to meet the specific needs of the manufacturing department.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and insights necessary for creating effective training content.
Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) staff for delivery of site-based training needs
Ensure training materials are up-to-date, engaging, and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Continuously review and update training content to reflect changes in processes, technology, and regulations.
Drives continuous improvements, standardization using lean, six sigma principles.
Business Process Owner for manufacturing supporting processes (e.g. gowning, cleanroom behavior)
Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree required in biological sciences, engineering, or biotechnology/life sciences
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing.
Minimum 5 Years experience in training and development, with a focus on GMP manufacturing.
Strong understanding of learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
3 years prior supervisory or management experience
Knowledgeable of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s)
Strong people management skills, coach, motivate and build a team.
Capable of identifying areas of improvement and leading change.
