Education and Years of Experience:
- 10+ years of experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions.
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Expertise in SQL Server, including database design, optimization, and administration, with experience in SQL Server cluster and high availability configurations.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, etc.
- Proficiency in Snowflake data platform, including data modeling, warehousing, and querying.
- Experience with data integration techniques and tools such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices.
- Experience with tools such as Erwin, Splunk, and Dynatrace will be a plus.
- Knowledge of PowerShell/Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in data governance practices and frameworks is highly desirable.
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation and proposals.
Additional Requirements:
- Microsoft Azure certification(s) (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
