Our Impact:
The Treasury Governance team within the Investment & Capital Market Division sets the policy and requirements that governs the end-to-end payment process and provide oversight and advisory for payment processing activities across Freddie Mac.
We help the company to manage risks related to payment process to an acceptable level and report on the end-to-end payment risk profile.
Your Impact:
- Maintain Payment Risk Management Framework that conforms with industry leading practices, standards and specifications
- Support periodical corporate aggregation assessments of unmitigated payment risks across the company
- Maintain corporate policies, procedures and standards for corporate payment process
- Help with periodic reporting of the aggregated payment fraud risks, KRIs, critical metrics, and KCIs for the end-to-end payment management reporting
- Assist with risk and control assessments for payment processes as outlined in Corporate Risk Assessment Standard
- Complete the development of end-to-end payment process control testing oversight plan
- Implement the end-to-end design review of controls for all payment processes
- Implement manual/automated control testing oversight. Challenging test scripts and test of one and operating efficiency results from an end to end view
- Review significant changes that impact payment processes or systems to determine that the risk and controls have been adequately assessed from an end-to-end view
- Support training Freddie Mac staff about payments fraud, industry trends and appropriate safeguards and tips, and support other assigned governance and advisory activities
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of operational risk/process management and/or audit experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Detailed, analytical and good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and work with a diverse group of partners within first and second line functions
- Self-motivated, pro-active, problem solver with the capability of managing multiple priorities without heavy supervision
- Capable of working independently and within a collaborative team environment!
Keys to Success in this Role:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Visio)
- Previous big four experience and/or relevant professional certifications (CPA, CFA, Six Sigma green belt/black belt, CIA, etc.) a plus
- Familiarity with the COSO internal control framework
- Knowledge of business resiliency, third party and information and technology risk and control capabilities (architecture, identity and access management, software/hardware security)
- Knowledge of mortgage industry

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $73,000 - $109,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
