Position: Government Proposal Writer
Location: Pasadena, CA (remote)
Duration: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $24/hr
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in the proposal development process, managing timelines and meeting strict deadlines.
- Conduct thorough research to grasp the nuances of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and customize technical content to meet specific requirements.
- Collaborate closely with partners, sales teams, subject matter experts, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure proposals fulfill all technical and contractual obligations.
- Drive lead generation efforts by identifying and researching potential government contracting opportunities.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within government agencies through strategic outreach and relationship management.
- Craft compelling technical narratives, articulating our solutions, methodologies, and credentials with clarity and persuasion.
- Maintain proposal documents with precision, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with formatting standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices through active participation in webinars focused on government proposal writing.
- Actively engage in QA meetings to gain comprehensive insights into requirements and ensure flawless execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field, coupled with relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in crafting technical documents, preferably within the realm of government proposals.
- Profound understanding of technical writing principles, with a knack for simplifying complex concepts for broader comprehension.
- Exceptional research skills, enabling the synthesis of pertinent information from diverse sources.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a firm commitment to delivering error-free, high-quality work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across diverse teams.
- Proven track record in lead generation through meticulous research and targeted outreach.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering and nurturing relationships with government agency stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and technical writing tools such as MadCap Flare and Adobe FrameMaker.
