General & Vascular Ultrasound Tech

FT: Mon - Fri. (11:30 AM - 8 PM)

Essential Job functions:

• Prepare the Vascular Laboratory and equipment for procedures to be performed
• Compile test results on the patient to be forwarded to a physician
• Prepare patient for vascular study
• Observe the patient for any complications of the procedure
• Document observation and report to the physician
• Demonstrates ability to interpret patient status and information during the study.
• Maintain adequate patient records and documentation
• Assist in the patient charges for services provided
• Educate the patient on the procedure
• Assist quality assessment collection data for the patient
• Restock and prepare the room for the next day’s procedures in conjunction with other team members

Education, Certification, Computer, and Training Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience required.
• Diploma from a Vocational / Technical School is required. A certificate from an Accredited Ultrasound program is required
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment required
• Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred
• Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred.
• Experience with Patient Care equipment preferred
• Experience with EHR, Practice Management Systems, and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred
• Must have General and Ultrasound Vascular Experience
