We are committed to delivering faith filled, quality education grounded in standards-based curricula, data-informed practices, and tailored instruction to better meet the unique needs of each student. We are currently seeking a Social Studies and Religion Middle School teacher to join our Middle School team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate concepts to students in an engaging and comprehensible manner. Responsibilities will include teaching 6th-8th grade Social Studies and 6th or 7th grade Religion.
Primary Duties
Develop and implement lesson plans in alignment with common core standards and the Archdiocese Religion Standards
Apply a variety of instructional strategies to help meet the needs of diverse learners
Integrate Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum and classroom activities.
Provide a structured and engaging learning environment
Set and uphold classroom guidelines that align with Catholic values
Offer timely and constructive feedback to students and parents to enhance academic development.
Continuously monitor student advancement and provide interventions as necessary to support individual learning requirements and obstacles.
Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, behavior, and academic issues.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance the educational experience and foster a cohesive school environment.
Engage in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay informed about current best practices in education and Catholic teaching methods.
Serve as a positive role model of Catholic values and virtues for students and the wider school community.
Requirements
1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education, History or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 2. Proficiency in Catholic teachings and a commitment to integrating faith into the curriculum. 3. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture. 5. Commitment to ongoing professional development and professional growth.
Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
