EF Academy is a leading private boarding and day high school attracting students from around the world to our campuses in Pasadena (LA), New York, and Oxford (England). Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Specialist will play a major role in how our team functions on campus.
About the Marketing & Communications Specialist:
The Marketing & Communications Specialist plays a crucial role in shaping and executing our internal and external brand representation and content strategies. While this person will help with content development that supports marketing efforts in multiple markets around the globe, they will also be focused on content creation and management of marketing and communications activities for our New York campus.
What you'll do:
Content Strategy and Social Media Management:
Develop and implement a content strategy to effectively communicate the school's mission, achievements, and events for local marketing (digital and print).
Manage and curate content for various social media platforms, ensuring consistency with the school's brand and tone.
Monitor social media trends and engagement metrics to optimize content performance.
Manage content calendar for New Yorks campus.
Manage an intern on New York’s campus to help curate content for Instagram, TikTok, and various other channels.
Manage content and messaging for our student alumni and ambassador programs for EF Academy’s New York campus in collaboration with marketing specialists in Pasadena and Oxford.
Curate and manage content to keep alumni engaged with each other and our campus.
Photography and Visual Content:
Capture high-quality photographs that showcase the vibrancy of school life, events, and achievements.
Curate and organize a visual library for use in various marketing materials and communication channels.
Collaborate with school staff to ensure visual content aligns with messaging and branding guidelines.
Manage photographers and social media intern for visual content creation
Email Communications:
Plan, create, and execute email campaigns to communicate important information, updates, and events to students, parents, and the community.
Website Content & Landing Page Management:
Maintain and update the school's website content to ensure accurate and current information for the US market.
Collaborate with web developers to implement improvements and enhancements to the website.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including admissions, academic departments, and event coordinators, to gather information and create compelling content.
Manage asset creation and collaboration with various stakeholders across 17 markets where we advertise
Collaborate with external vendors and partners to execute marketing initiatives.
Collaborating with senior leadership for visualization, branding, and editing of major documents or landing pages.
Brand Consistency:
Own and manage the creation of promotional materials for students, staff, faculty, off-campus marketing events and on-campus admissions events to ensure consistent brand representation.
Manage and curate “about EF Academy” on social media channels
Work with marketing team to ensure our content on various branded portals including Boarding School Review, Niche, and is more aligned.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing and implementing successful content and social media strategies.
2-4 years of experience in a marketing or communications position.
Strong photography skills and experience with photo editing software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media management tools, email marketing platforms, and website content management systems.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Knowledge of the education sector and familiarity with high school environments is a plus.
