Pay: $20 per hour
Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
The Warehouse Dispatcher will be responsible for creating trucking routes that keep costs down and meet the customer scheduling needs. This position will be the primary interface between pilot freight services, customers, sales, system operations, and vendors, provide quality customer service, and meet company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Answering phones professionally and timely, email requests professionally and timely, and providing general customer service.
- Research shipments for corporate and accounting requests and reports.
- Communicate changes with accounting when outside vendors are used, understand TSA regulations, develop pickup and delivery routes, and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
- Modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers, and act as a communication liaison between customers, drivers, sales, and pilot facilities.
- Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers, schedule residential pickups, work overtime and weekend on-call rotations, and perform other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must be able to type accurately at least 35 WPM, be intermediate with Excel and Word, have strong written and oral communication skills are essential, manage deadlines, have strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate and surrounding areas, work in a team environment in high-pressure situations, Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful, high school diploma or equivalent, certifications if applicable, lift up to 50 pounds and have 3 years of dispatching experience.
