Essential Functions: Level of Supervision Required: Work is reviewed periodically Contacts: Regular contacts, within or outside the Company to give or get information. Require courtesy, tact, and some knowledge of Company procedures. Analyze Using the missing charge report, analyzes missing charges, identifies reason for the missing charge (no documentation, scheduling errors, etc), and takes appropriate action to collaborate with team members and resolve the missing charges. Tasks: Identifies problem accountsfor further action based upon factors such as unsuccessful collection efforts or age of account. Using available on-line payor claims data, determine claim status. Collaborate with PDI business partner and associated team members on payments issues that need follow up with payors, employers, and other third parties to ascertain payment status. Identifies additional information needed to facilitate collection of outstanding balances. Reporting Maintains an extensive spreadsheet with all missing charges, documentation and details. Tasks: Contacts patients when necessary to obtain additional information such as insurance coverage, referrals, supplemental insurance, and coordination of benefits in order to expedite payment of claims. Communicates with office managers and PDI representatives as needed regarding collection matters that require patient interaction such as up front self payment matters, co-insurance, and deductibles and ensure proper linking of payments to encounters. Collects batches from front desk and makes daily batch deposits to cahier's office as assigned by supervisor. Educational Requirement:
