Working in partnership with the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, administering and monitoring the employee activities for the Community.

This is an onsite position

This position has a clear path to a Human Resources Director position.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

• Develops recruitment strategies ensuring qualified employees are recruited and hired in a cost effective and timely manner. Activities include maintaining Communitys career pages, keeping job postings current on websites, and developing other community relationships.
• Conducts New Hire Orientation that fosters a positive first impression of the company. In addition, works with the Human Resources team to coordinate or manage activities which includes employee events.
• Coordinates benefits enrollment activities including ensuring timely enrollment in HRIS as appropriate. Maintains company health/benefit enrollments. Reconciles monthly insurance bills and audits. Point of contact for employee benefit questions. Works with broker/ vendors as appropriate.
• Reviews and submits all Workers Compensation reports. Actively manages cases in collaboration with the HR, Safety, and Department Director to maintain required logs, prepare necessary reports, analyze injury logs, and submits recommendations to supervisors regarding areas of concern.
• Handles the full cycle of all employee leave of absences in collaboration with the HR Director.
• Tracks and maintains certification, licensure, and work permit expirations and ensures all on file are current.
• Completes exit documentation and processing for terminated employees. Ensures exit interviews for front line staff and provides feedback to ED, HRD, and department heads.
• Tracks employee evaluation dates and sends reminders to department heads. Reviews drafts of Development Reviews and coaches Directors on effective performance documentation and conversations.
• Handles employee relations issues with either employees or managers through effective communication and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Assists with the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures, projects and reports as needed. Works closely with Director and other HR staff members on assigned projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years human resources experience, including some supervisory/leadership experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of California and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.
• Excellent customer service skills. Must display a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude toward the Residents, other employees, and the public.
• Computer proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. ATS and HRIS experience, ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management or related field a plus.
