DESCRIPTION
Global Prime Finance (GPF) seeks a Principal Finance Manager to join the Member Growth and Engagement (MGE) team. This role will lead the new Prime Member Spend and Engagement (PMSE) pillar and will be instrumental in providing strategical Finance Support to the Worldwide (WW) Prime organization under Jamil Ghani. This role provides a unique opportunity to support the WW Engagement team in developing strategies to strengthen member retention and benefit usage, as well as the Prime Finance teams throughout the globe through critical insights related to Prime member spend.
We are looking for a strategic and analytical leader to take the lead in developing and deploying new frameworks, mechanisms, tools, and processes to help Prime continue to be a much-loved program. Alongside one direct report, this individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams (business, finance, and BI teams) to drive analysis, develop new metrics, and influence strategic Prime Member Engagement investment decisions. Key job responsibilities
- Serves as the subject matter expert for Prime Member engagement and spend, developing the global framework for evaluating engagement initiatives, tracking performance, and understanding drivers
- Manages one direct report
- Provides financial analyses and strategic leadership to WW Prime Engagement teams, as well as Global Finance teams supporting Amazon-wide goals
- Collects, analyzes, and manages quantitative data and creates meaningful reports to drive business growth and improvement to maximize Prime Member retention, engagement, and spend
- Works directly with various stakeholders (including partners from other business and finance teams) to develop and support key assumptions
- Performs various ad hoc analyses to help business leaders solve business problems and understand the financial implications
- Partners with business intelligence teams to explore available data, identify and construct new datasets, and isolate trends and insights to inform engagement and spend initiatives
- Influences business decisions through effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of alternatives
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Manages competing priorities and provides level-headed guidance during unexpected events
About the team
This position is part of a high-performing, fast-paced Finance team whose mission is to be the trusted strategic advisor to the business and the go-to source for an end-to-end understanding of our Prime members. The MGE team aims to be the Gold Standard for Finance and Business Partnership within WW Amazon Store Finance, obsessing over the customer and inventing new ways to deliver unparalleled value to the Prime program. This is a highly visible role within the WW Prime team and requires exceptional partnership and communication, along with curiosity about our space.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 10+ years of finance experience OR Masters degree and 8+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
