Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a QC Technician, II at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the detailed production of premier products.
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system
Perform in-process quality inspections during manufacturing to determine compliance with approved requirements
Identify and address quality defects in a timely manner to prevent repeated failures
Record in-process quality inspections and track the number of defects identified
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to find areas for ongoing improvement.
Partner with manufacturing personnel for line opening and closing activities
Document nonconformances in the quality system and participate in the DR/CAPA system
Assist in revising departmental processes to drive continual improvement
Adjust work schedules as required to support changes in the manufacturing schedule
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent with 3-5 years of confirmed experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience and knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 preferred
Familiarity with inspection principles and concepts
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to function in a team environment and receive mentorship with minimal supervision
Attentive to details and capable of managing multiple tasks
Basic knowledge of computer applications required
