Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Institutional Compliance Officer, Regulatory Specialist (RSCO) for University Ethics and Compliance. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Compliance, the RSCO will lead the institutional compliance programs across various critical university functions, including but not limited to Athletics, Financial Aid, Campus Safety, and Youth Protection. The RSCO will be responsible for implementing, administering, and daily monitoring of the Rutgers’ institutional compliance program for these key areas. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Provides support to existing compliance initiatives university-wide to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and standards.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the University’s compliance programs and institutes necessary changes to safeguard Rutgers’ reputation, promote ethical conduct, enhance community awareness, and serve as a resource for addressing potential concerns within assigned departments.
- Collaborates closely with other departments to ensure the university’s adherence to the Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program.
- Offers guidance on policy and procedure development, evaluating and mitigating risks, devising innovative risk mitigation solutions, assisting with compliance monitoring and auditing efforts.
- Develops customized training programs.
- Collaborates with management to integrate compliance measures seamlessly into operational systems and initiatives.
- Serves as a point of contact for students, faculty, or staff seeking guidance on compliance-related matters.
