Key Responsibilities:
Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct routine patrols of hospital buildings, facilities, and grounds to detect and deter potential security threats. Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor areas for suspicious activities and respond proactively to any security concerns.
Crime Prevention: Actively prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access by maintaining a visible and active presence in key areas of the hospital. Remain alert to any unusual activities and take immediate action to address potential security breaches.
Visitor Management: Monitor the conduct of visitors on hospital premises and ensure they adhere to hospital policies and regulations. Politely and professionally confront unauthorized individuals for questioning and take appropriate actions as necessary.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security and safety incidents, including but not limited to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security breaches. Follow established protocols to ensure a rapid and coordinated response to emergencies.

New York State Security Guard 8 and 16 Hour Certifications: Candidates must hold valid certifications for both the 8-hour pre-assignment training course and the 16-hour on-the-job training course, as required by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services for security personnel.
