Managed Business Solutions (MBS) has experienced unprecedented growth generating over $1.6 billion in revenue since 2017. As we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, we see a significant opportunity to drive the success of the Enterprise by making investments in leadership to support our ambitious MBS strategic plan and leverage the combined capabilities of Protiviti and Robert Half.
Managing Vice President, Business Development
Robert Half is seeking qualified candidates to join our Managed Business Solutions (“MBS”) team as Managing Vice President, Business Development of the Western Half of the United States. The Managing Vice President, Business Development (“MBS”) will be a highly visible role and lead a team consisting of at least 6 or 7 MBS Business Development Vice Presidents to grow revenue for the enterprise with Robert Half’s and Protiviti’s clients and prospects.
The objective of this newly created managerial role will be to leverage the combined capabilities of Protiviti and Robert Half to achieve the targeted annual “MBS” revenue goal for the Western half of the United States. This includes growing the business development pipeline, promoting strategy, communicating best practices, and actively partnering with the Talent Solutions and Protiviti teams on “MBS” client opportunities.
This position will collaborate closely with the Protiviti “MBS” regional leaders and Talent Solutions Operational Presidents/Senior District Directors to develop go-to-market strategy and client relationships. It will also partner closely with Protiviti “MBS” local market leads, Talent Solutions District Directors, Executive Directors, and Strategic Account senior leadership. In addition to client development activity, collaboration, and consistent communication with internal stakeholders across the enterprise will be a key success factor in this role.
This role will report to Giannine Cohoon, SVP of Business Development, who will supply overall direction about strategy, priorities, business development support, and performance feedback.
Job Description Summary
The role will function as a primary business development channel individually and through the Vice President direct reports. This position will also develop and manage a personal book of business with a revenue goal that considers overall leadership responsibilities. This will include oversight of business development execution and ensure the necessary tactics are followed to achieve the overall strategy and growth pillars as set in the business plan each year.
Key responsibilities include attending client meetings within the regional markets to drive revenue and demonstrate to team members how to message “MBS” to clients and prospects, assist in the proactive development of high potential client focused accounts, identify “MBS” opportunities through reviewing open job orders, coordinating follow-up on the 5+ Contractor Out report and activity reports, and existing clients of the financial Talent Solutions practice groups and Protiviti.
The selected candidate will use a research-driven approach to analyze business opportunities, develop, and implement strategies in accordance with high demand offerings and client acceptance guidelines within targeted markets, industries, and accounts – and include the responsibility of being able to find and document client demand trends. Additionally, this role will function as a client advocate to colleagues in the Robert Half and Protiviti businesses.
