The Millbrae School District Speech-Language Pathologists are dedicated to facilitating speech and language acquisition and development in students with communication disorders. Our purpose is to help students find their unique voices as they use language to think, learn, affirm their ideas, and develop soical relationships.
The Speech-Language Pathologists work collaboratively with and provide resources for administrations, teachers, and special education in their efforts to develop goals and instructional strategies that support academic achievement. As a district we practice respectful, open communication that fosters creativity, welcomes new ideas, acknowledges individual talents and contributions, and promotes teamwork. Our commitment to continuing professional developent strengthens our ability to advocate for our students and their families.
Requirements / Qualifications
Credential(s) Required:
*California State License in Speech Pathology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (desirable)
Letter of Intent
Resume
2-3 Letters of Reference (written within the last 12 months)
Desired:
*Bilingual
*Recent school based therapy
*TK- 8th grade student populations
*Strong case management/IEP skills
*SEIS or other computer-based IEP program knowledge
AAC experience
