Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a license to practice law in the State of Louisiana.
Must be in good standing with the Louisiana Bar Association.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must have access to a motor vehicle to travel statewide.
Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 15% mainly for state wide, state court appearances, but also for continuing education and other conferences, as required.

Demonstrated ability to handle litigations in both federal and state courts;
Experience in motions practice and presenting oral arguments, in state courts;
Knowledge of state and federal court practices and procedures
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including listening and editing;

Performs legal research and drafts all pleadings, correspondence, or other documents in order to accomplish the above enumerated duties;
Identifies and secures the assistance of experts and other necessary witnesses;
Communicates timely and effectively with supervisors and clients on all developments in cases;
Performs all administrative functions attendant to the position including preparation and submission of accurate reports of daily and monthly activities, case assessments, requests for settlement authority, and all documentation related to travel and expenses;
Performs all work to comply with the IAT with ORM and LSU;
Be punctual in attendance at all matters relating to defense of the cases assigned, maintenance of normal hours, and when required to render professional legal services; as well as, work the necessary hours in order to accomplish the tasks at hand.
