POSITION SUMMARY:
The Galveston Bay Refinery located in Texas City, Texas, is seeking a Refining Maintenance Planner. This position is responsible for converting work requests to work orders, developing the job plans, ordering material and/or equipment to effectively execute the routine maintenance work in a safe and economical manner. The Planner coordinates between Operations and Scheduling to effectively execute the work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop quality job plans for routine, major maintenance, PMs, PdM, unit outages, etc., including job scope packages. Plans will address the following needs:
- Special tooling
- Abatement requirements
- Specialty crafts
- MPC crafts
- Contractor crafts
- Materials
- Conduct monthly backlog review sessions with Operations and keep the backlog updated
- Ensure compliance driven scopes are given a high priority (i.e. – safety, environmental, etc.)
- Requisition material and monitor the delinquent material report to ensure delivery requirements are met
- Ensure that safety notifications are planned within 7 days of the “created on” date
- Ensure that Major Maintenance budget items are planned with proper revision coding and support budget spend forecasts
- Ensure planning priorities align with the priorities of the Area Teams
- Update completed job plans so they can be used on similar scopes
- Maintain less than a 15% unplanned backlog (% unplanned / total backlog) in assigned area
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications:
- Degree: High School Diploma (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Routine Maintenance Planning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Experience: a minimum of 2-years of experience in refinery maintenance
- Directing maintenance work
- Prioritizing, planning and scheduling work with budget and cost control experience
- Experience in working with SAP
