Job Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, Operations Analytics, this position is responsible for performing analysis and reporting on key operational metrics. As a part of the Operations Analytics team, your role is to become an expert in understanding how operations drive performance at Firehouse Subs, while the insights that you uncover will enable us to make decisions to improve the guest experience and unlock efficiencies in restaurant. This will involve reporting on performance to communicate with leadership and other key stakeholders on historical performance, performing net of control analysis to understand the impact that test markets and other initiatives have on operational metrics, complete root cause analysis and presentations as needed, support on ad hoc projects, create key tools for the field operations team and more. This role is a key position on the Operations Analytics team, but you will also work with stakeholders throughout the Operations org and cross-functionally with Marketing, Digital and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Weekly and monthly reporting on key metric performance (speed-of-service, Test Markets, guest satisfaction, Google Star rating, hours-of-operations, etc.) communicating results and performing ad hoc analysis to identify the root cause(s) of underperformance when applicable.
- Update key performance trackers and collaborate with the field operations team to identify key areas of opportunity on a weekly basis.
- Be a subject matter expert in the field of QSR operations and key metrics such as speed of service, guest satisfaction, google review performance, hours of operations and more.
- Create and provide clear data-driven presentations to deliver insights to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Complete quantitative analysis to understand the impact that test markets and other key ongoing initiatives have on operations metrics.
- Manage cross-functionally to ensure buy-in and support from other departments on operations initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or other related fields.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working with large datasets to uncover concise and useful insights.
- Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously in a work environment that demands flexibility, adaptability, and ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated, self-starter displaying high initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to operate independently.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Prior experience using SQL queries to extract data is an asset.
